Lately I was thinking that I wanted to make some recommendations again. I used to make once a week a recommendation of an anime I really liked but I changed my mind so I didn’t want to recommend anime like I did back then. My resolution is now that I’ll present you my top 5 anime of each genre, starting with the genre I like and because of obvious reasons today with the romance genre.

The very first anime which would come into my mind speaking of romance is Kimi ni todoke, I laughed so much because of it and during other moments it was just heartbreaking. When I showed this one to my little sister she cried after watching the fourth episode. I was so happy, that she loves this one as much as I do.

One of the most romantical one is definitely Sukitte ii Nayo. If you are searching for the big and honest school romance you would have loved in your school days, this one will be a good choice. But be aware if you aren’t that much into romance types it will probably be too much for you.

One of the things I first recognized during writing this article was that Nana was made by three of my most loved producing studios. Madhouse, VAP and also Nippon Television Network Corporation worked together and made this truly outstanding work. I’m not sure how I should describe it – as if I had described the plot of the previous works – maybe it is about love. Or is it about how strong friendship really can become? Probably about growing up, too.

Five Centimeters per Second is one of the few films which made me cry. What happens if good friends are torn apart, will they be able to hold contact or will their friendship get lost during the time? Will they be able to meet each other again?

Some would probably say that it must be an impressing work, it’s a Makoto Shinkai produktion. Even if I’m not that hyped about his name I agree somehow with a lot people that his works are outstanding in its own way. Did you realize that is the second work in this recommendation? Probably not. There always will be left a especial feeling, caught in your mind. But what I mostly love in this one is the art and how everything is set up.

Kotonoha no Niwa / Garden of Words

Type: Movie – 1 episode

Genre: Romance

Thank you so much for reading this entry! Did I miss some outstanding ones? Maybe some obvious ones?
I’m not sure.
