ZURICH

The 2-hour guided walking tour through Zurich´s historic old town offers fascinating insights into the city’s colourful history. Discover Zurich’s Old Town and travel back through more than 2,000 years of history. Walk by the remains of the Roman baths, the churches Fraumünster, Grossmünster and St. Peter and medieval guild houses. Next to the city hall you will see a model of the old town where you can have an overview of your location and the tour. Visit the Lindenhof with its view on the river Limmat and on the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) where the Nobel Prize winner Albert Einstein studied and worked. See UBS (United Bank of Switzerland) on Paradeplatz, near the National Bank. Stroll through the main shopping street (Bahnhofstrasse) with its stores of famous Swiss brands: Rolex, TAG Heuer, Patek Philippe, IWC, Victorynox, Bally shoe store, Sprüngli and Teuscher Chocolate stores. Next to the lake of Zurich you will see the Opera house and, if the weather is clear, the Alps with the snow peaks. If you are thirsty, drink water from one of the over 1200 fresh drinking water fountains located all around Zurich.
